Each clock is a one-of-a-kind, & made from a local Irish Sycamore tree that lived in Co. Galway since c. 1945. The piece also comes packaged beautifully, & is engraved in the lovely old Gaelic ‘Bunchló’ font (widely used in Ireland since medieval times).

The Story of a Handmade Wooden Clock…

Every piece I make seems to have a unique journey. This is what I love about what I do. Like our own personal journeys, it’s amazing how the little steps we take, and the decisions we make, can manifest into something magical.

This creation came about after various people asked me if I made map of Ireland clocks. But it wasn’t until 2022, that I finally got a chance to craft one. After many hours of thought and design, the piece you see above was the final result.

A lovely customer in County Cork commissioned the Irish map wall clock, as a personalised wooden anniversary gift. Seeing how everything turned out delighted both myself, and the recipient! It was a joy to make this, especially after watching the decorative clock hands rotate for the first time – as the piece came to life!

Made with love and quality craftsmanship, this is a truly heartfelt Irish gift. Perfect for those with Irish ancestry, or even just a love of our enchanting Gaelic culture…

Cian Magill is ainm dom, and here’s a little bit about my journey…

Studying Furniture Design & Manufacture at GMIT Letterfrack completely changed my life. I discovered a passion for working with my hands, and creating totally unique pieces. When I work with wood I feel truly connected to the material, and at one with nature.

I began to develop Magill Woodcraft Ireland in 2016, my second year of college. Since then I have continued to learn, and constantly aim for the highest quality craftsmanship.

Along with conserving our enchanting Irish culture, my mission is to exceed customers’ expectations, by crafting some of the most heartfelt & beautiful wooden gifts in Ireland.
